Individuals with cognitive or communication disabilities learn community-based skills
Using a four-step process, students are guided towards successful completion of sixty community activities. Simple “Do” and “Don’t” illustrations enhance instruction by teaching appropriate corresponding social skills.
For each activity, students:
- Review the sequence of steps necessary to complete the activity
- Rehearse the completion of each step
- Perform the activity in the community
- Receive assessment from four skill-based criteria worksheets
Activities are organized by category: At home, shopping, eating out, appointments, going places and money matters. Includes 1600 reproducible illustrations. Written by Don Bastian and illustrated by Jo Reynolds.
