Individuals with cognitive or communication disabilities learn personal care skills
Using a four-step process, students learn forty-five important personal skills that include: dental care, dressing for success, clothing care and gender specific hygiene skills. Numerous illustrations and easy-to-find activities help low-level readers use Personal Success independently. Social Skill pages help students analyze factitious characters that “have it all together” with those “who need a little more help.”
Personal Success skills training includes:
- Review of the sequence of steps necessary to complete a personal skill activity
- Rehearsal of the personal skill using a role play format
- Performance of each activity independently
- Assessment of the impact of the training on the student’s appearance and behavior
Covered spiralbound, 142 pgs., 2005.
